Hormones responsible for menstrual cycle – The course is designed for the basic understanding of anatomical structures and physiological functions of human body, musculoskeletal system, digestive system, respiratory system; cardiovascular system; urinary system, endocrine system, reproductive system, nervous system, hematologic system, sensory organs, integumentary system, and immune system.The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge and skills regarding anatomy and physiology.

1. Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH).
2. Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).

Hormones of ovary
Hormones of ovary:
- Estrogen.
- Progesterone.
- Relaxin.
- Inhibin.

Sterility
sterility means loss of reproductive capacity.
Causes of sterility:
A. In male:
- Failure to erection of penis.
- Less sperm count. (Below 20 million/ejaculation)
- Presence of more than 40% abnormal sperm in semen.
- Impairment movement of sperm.
- Absence of hyaluronidase in the acrosome of sperm.
- Cryptorchidism. (Undescendent testes)
B. In female:
- Tubal blockage.
- Failure to ovulation.
- Endometriosis.
- Secretion of abnormal mucous by the uterine cervix.

Uterine milk
Before Implantation of the Blastocyst in the uterine cavity, it remains here for about 1-3 days. Thus, Implantation occur in the endometrium at about 5h-7th day after ovulation. Before implantation, the blastocyst obtains its nutrition from the uterine endometrial secretions. These secretions are called ‘Uterine milk’.
