Community based nursing

Community based nursing is the provision of acute care and care for chronic health problems to individuals and families in the community. Health promotion and illness prevention are the focus of aspects of community-based nursing.

The term used to describe the setting of nursing care delivery. The focus of this care was to reduce suffering & promote healing at home level by female. The next stage in the development of community health was the formal organization of district nursing.
Later, many changes in health care organization and financing, technology, and social issues made increasing demands on community health nurses to adapt to new patterns of practice.
Community-oriented nursing
Community-oriented nursing is nursing that has as its primary focus the health care of either the community or a population of individuals, families, and groups.

Community-oriented practice
Community-oriented practice is a form of care in which the nurse provides health care after doing a community diagnosis to determine what conditions need to be altered so that individuals, families, and groups in the community to stay healthy.
Difference between community medicine and public health
