The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge and skills in general biological science, general chemistry and physics.
Definition of Feedback
Feedback is the auto response of a system to a stimulus which is received by that system, i.e. it is a link between effector and receptor.
Types: Two type:
- Positive feedback mechanism.
- Negative feedback mechanism
Control Systems of the Body:
The human body has literally thousands of control systems in it. Some of these are-
- The genetic control system: The most intricate of all the control systems that operate in all cells to control intracellular & extracellular functions.
- The nervous system: It regulates the body function,
- The respiratory system: It regulates the concentration of O2 & CO2 in the extracellular fluid (ECF).
- The liver & Pancreas: Regulates the concentration of glucose in the ECF
- The kidneys: It regulates the concentration of H+, Na+, K+, PO4³ & other ions in the ECF.
